Full Super Moon and New Painting

Hello there!

Happy Full Moon! This full 'Flower" moon in May is a "Super Blood Moon" and Lunar eclipse. This will be the first total lunar eclipse since January 2019. The actual lunar eclipse will last for only about 15 minutes, but will take the moon about three hours to cross through the Earth's shadow.

A lunar eclipse happens when the sun, earth and full moon align. During the eclipse, the moon will have a reddish hue from the sunlight filtering through Earth's atmosphere. This is labeled a "blood moon."

In great timing with the moon, I just wrapped up this new painting of "The Morrigan" for a show called "Tiny Terrors" at the Dark Art Emporium, show info can be found on Facebook HERE!

This painting is available for purchase - please email me back here for more information if interested. I also have prints available of her in my Etsy store (click me!), as well as the more illustrative version I created for the cover of the Dark Goddess Magick book by C.Ara Campbell. I also did the illustrations in the Dark Goddess Magick book, which is available here for pre-order! The book will be out in October - I can't wait to read it! Click to preorder the book HERE!

I am currently finishing illustrations for another book, also by Quarto Publishing, called The Ultimate Guide to Energy Healing: The Beginners Guide to Healing Your Chakras, Aura, and Energy Body. After that, I'm very excited to announce that I will be working on the 2023 Astrological Calendar for Llewellyn Worldwide Publishers! I am so honored and grateful that they contacted me completely out of the blue to ask me if I am interested, which of course I am! What an honor! More on that to come.....

Here is the more illustrative version of "The Morrigan"

“The Morrígan or Mórrígan, also known as Morrígu, is a figure from Irish mythology. The name is Mór-Ríoghain in Modern Irish, and it has been translated as "great queen" or "phantom queen". The Morrígan is mainly associated with war and fate, especially with foretelling doom, death or victory in battle. In this role she often appears as a crow, the bad. She incites warriors to battle and can help bring about victory over their enemies. The Morrígan encourages warriors to do brave deeds, strikes fear into their enemies, and is portrayed washing the bloodstained clothes of those fated to die. She is most frequently seen as a goddess of battle and war and has also been seen as a manifestation of the earth- and sovereignty-goddess,chiefly representing the goddess's role as guardian of the territory and its people.”

That's all for now! I hope you get to see the eclipse!
