This is my oil painting called “Echoes”, which is one of around 83 pieces I’m creating for an oracle deck I’m illustrating.
"Echoes" is a painting about chanting, the ancient practice for softening the mind and opening the spirit. A repeated sound, spoken again and again, carries us out of ordinary thought and into a quieter rhythm. Like the cycles of the moon, the turning of seasons, or the breath of the forest, this repetition reshapes us. What begins as something simple becomes transformative, weaving through body and spirit until we feel ourselves connected to the vast patterns that hold us all. Chanting mirrors the cycles we see all around us—the waxing and waning moon, the endless renewal of the forest, the turning chapters of our own lives. With each repeated sound, the mind softens, the spirit opens, and we remember we are part of these greater rhythms. In time, the practice transforms us, connecting voice and breath to the pulse of nature itself.
Owning this painting is like holding a moment of that rhythmic flow state. It carries the medicine of repetition, rhythm, and openness—a reminder that stillness and motion can coexist, that the unseen often shapes the seen.
This original is ready for a home where it will be treasured. I would be honored for you to be the one to welcome “Chanting” into your space.
